OUR TEAM

Carlos Giovanelli

Chairman

Giovanelli has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, having held several senior management positions at Citibank beginning in 1980.

He served as Vice Chairman of Citibank Argentina until late 2002, when he left the bank to establish D&G. Previously, he was Vice President of Strategic Planning, Senior Credit Officer, and a member of Citibank Argentina’s senior management team, with regional responsibilities. He also served on the Board of Siembra AFJP and as Vice Chairman of the Argentine Banking Association.

In 1989, he joined Citibank’s International Corporate Finance Division in New York, where he played an active role in Argentina’s privatization process. Among other transactions, he participated in the privatization of Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (ENTEL). Upon returning to Argentina in 1992, he was appointed Head of the Corporate & Investment Banking Division.

He holds a degree in Economics from Universidad Católica Argentina.

DAMIAN POZZOLI

Director

Pozzoli served as Head of Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank from 1997 to 2003.

During that period, he was one of the leading participants in leveraged buyout (LBO) activity in Argentina, advising, financing, and investing in companies across a wide range of industries. In this capacity, he served as Chairman of Interbaires and Black Gold and as a Board Member of companies including Havanna, BGH, and Banco Liniers Sudamericano. He was also responsible for managing Compañía de Alimentos Fargo on behalf of Deutsche Bank, the company’s principal secured creditor.

Previously, from 1992 to 1997, he held several senior management positions at ABN AMRO Bank in Buenos Aires, Amsterdam, and New York. He served as Head of Debt & Equity Origination for Latin America and Head of Corporate Banking for Argentina. Before joining ABN AMRO, he was a Manager at Citibank Argentina from 1988 to 1992.

He formerly served as President of Club de Automóviles Sport Argentina and is currently a member of the Board of Fundación Hospital de Clínicas.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Universidad Católica Argentina. He also occasionally teaches at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.

Federico Salvai

Director

Positions within the Group:
Board Member of Aspro Energy and Edison.

Salvai held senior positions in the public sector for more than 20 years before joining Inverlat as a partner in early 2025.

He began his career at the General Audit Office of the City of Buenos Aires and later served as Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Social Development. In 2013, he was elected to the Buenos Aires Province Chamber of Deputies, and in 2016, he was appointed Chief of Staff to the Governor of Buenos Aires Province.

After completing his public service career, he transitioned to the private sector by founding Pragmatio Consulting, through which he advises leading companies in Argentina and abroad.

His experience across both the public and private sectors provides Inverlat with a distinctive perspective for navigating complex environments, building institutional relationships, and supporting transformation processes.

He is an attorney and holds a degree in Communications. He also completed the Senior Management Program (PAD) at IAE Business School.

Guillermo Stanley

Director

Positions within the Group:

Board Member of CIPPEC.

Stanley held several senior management positions at Citibank Argentina for more than 18 years. He joined the bank in 1986 as Vice President of Government and Institutional Relations. In 1989, he assumed additional responsibility for Financial Institutions and the Public Sector. During the 1990s, he played an active role in Argentina’s sovereign debt restructuring and in the privatization of state-owned companies.

He also served on the boards of organizations including IDEA, AmCham, and FIEL.

Before joining Citibank, he became Chief Financial Officer of Bridas in 1981, where he later also served as Director of Government Relations. In 1976, he joined Carles Compañía Financiera as Commercial Manager, after serving as Export Manager at Fate’s Electronics Division.

He began his career at Banco de la Nación Argentina in 1966 and represented the bank in London from 1973 to 1975.

He holds a degree in Business Administration and completed executive education programs at Georgetown University and Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE).
