Guillermo Stanley
Guillermo Stanley has more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, acting in several management positions for Citibank in Argentina. He entered Citibank in 1986 as Vice President in charge of Government and Institutional Relationships. In 1989 he added responsibilities over Financial Institutions and Public Sector. During the 1990s, Mr. Stanley was an active participant in both the sovereign debt restructuring process, and in the privatization process of Argentine state owned companies.
Mr Stanley started his professional career at Banco Nación in Argentina en 1966. He represented Banco Nación in London from 1973 to 1975. During 1975 acted as Exports Manager for Fate División Electrónica. In 1976 started working for Carles Compañía Financiera, as Commercial Manager until 1981, when he was offered a position as Chief Financial Officer for Bridas Oil Company. Years later he acted as Director for Government Relations for such company.
He was a member of the Board at IDEA, AmCham and FIEL among others and is currently in the Board of CIPPEC, Havanna and Banco Macro.
Mr. Stanley has a degree in Business Administration and has taken several courses at Georgetown University and Universidad Argentina de la Empresa.
